 Due to popular request (i.e. hedmekanik asked me in passing - all credit to him), I've added a calendar module! You can see four upcoming events on the right of the screen, and by clicking 'more' you can go to a complete monthly display.
The idea is that initially I will still add them in (to keep it neat), but when I get bored of that and other people wanna do it themselves, it's easy to enable the option. It's great because you can still post comments under each event, and the flyers can go alongside too.
Any suggestions? :)

I think that a weekly email is still the most effective way of getting people off their arses, cause it arrives in your inbox to remind you. But having said that, it's also great for people to see in advance what's going on, and for peeps to post their own stuff too.
People, in my experience, are motivated by precious few factors:
Money
Sex
Instant Gratification
Freebies
If you hit any of these sweet spots, they're up and away like a Dobermann after a Maltese in heat. Good music sometimes works too. Let's hope that a gig guide will assist in getting asses up and around.
