These three pics are especially for the expats out there! God, don't you miss it here? It must awful not being able to see this beautiful city every day!
Apparently it's really easy to get to the top floor of this hotel... you just walk in, get in the elevator and up you go!
It must be the Holiday Inn Garden Court North Beach, which doesn't sound nearly as grand as The Maharani, dahling. There used to be a jol up there on the top floor, Raffles, which was at the time the swishest joint in the S. hemisphere - ask anyone older than 35 and they'll get all misty-eyed. Apparently a well-known club owner has had his eye on it for some time, and it may yet get resurrected. Now that would be something.
Oh, the memories of sneaking up to the 32nd floor after a 3-hour session at North to eat a prince's lunch of a surfer sandwich, cheese rolls and polony with a Lime Moo...health conscious? Wassat?
After living in Ireland for 3 years ( where the weather is actually worse than england), I will NEVER EVER take our winter for granted
Surfed at Ansties for 4 hours last sunday, being a typical may day. Sunny, not a breath of wind, the water so green and clear I could check every detail of the reef below, and fish cruising around as well. 4 feet swell, ten guys out. How many rainy days have we had in the last month and a bit? 1. One. HAHAHA!!
How many places in the world where you can do that with hardly anyone around. Please tune me, cause from collective experience, nowhere.
And on top of it all this weekend is set to go off again.. rugby... sun... surf.. good vibes...
Ah yes I do indeed miss this beautiful City - particularly a couple of its residents too ...
Cool, I think I can even see Zondo Rd from there...
Don't get me started on that circus... :[
Yep, what a crap place to stay. I'd much rather be in picturesque London in the awesome climate! ;)
And Splashy fucking rocked. Jesus.
is it possible to give me the name of the hotel? i wana go c this view first hand

Hehe, couldn't agree more! It is going to be a bumper one this weekend hopefully!
You know you`re in a good place when the your team loses in the most tragic of ways, but the party's still alive and the beach still balmy...
Did anyone see Superhotjoy on Saturday night? That band rocks!!
